 22nd Annual Monterey RideThe Oakland Yellowjackets Bicycling Club invite you to join us on our annual Monterey Ride from September 20-21, 2008. This event has been a club end-of-season tradition since since 1986.We have two ride options this year. The 120-mile route starts in Pacifica at 7:00 AM, traverses Devil's Slide, rolls through scenic Pescadero and breaks at the Santa Cruz lighthouse for lunch. The ride then continues on Highway 1 ending at Washington Park at Sinex and Alder Streets in Pacific Grove. An 87-mile ride starts in scenic Pescadero State Beach, breaks at the Santa Cruz lighthouse for lunch, then continues on Highway 1 and ends at Washington Park. There will be four official rest stops on the long course; three for the Pescadero ride. Mobile SAG services will be available. Saturday night, you will be treated to a banquet dinner at the Asilomar Conference Center dining room, before returning to your rooms for much-needed rest. The festivities end the next morning with a full breakfast, bag lunch and a bus ride back to Pacifica and Lake Merritt/Oakland (return for those who select the complete package. As you will see from the application, the price you pay depends on the number of people per room. Full Package: prices range from $230 (single occupancy) to $125 (4 occupants in single room). All pricing is per person. (In order to get the lowest price, all beds in the room must be filled.) Partial (no hotel) Packages: Ride Only: $25.00 Dinner only: $40.00 Breakfast/Box Lunch: $15.00 Return Transportation: $5.00 NO REFUNDS. Non-members of the Oakland Yellowjackets, add $30 to total registration cost. RIDERS MUST BE 18 YEARS OR OLDER or approved by committee to register/participate.
