
Emily and I had a good ride at this San Francisco Randonneurs event yesterday! We rode much of it with fellow OYJer Susan. It was a first brevet for both Emily and Susan, as well as about 3/4 of the people who rode the event.
The ride, a non-competitive timed event, started and ended at the Golden Gate Bridge. The route went north, out to Point Reyes Station, then to Nicasio, then back south to SF.

The weather was fabulous. Lots of sun, and temperatures that hovered between a little cool and a little warm. We had been concerned about the forecast of very strong winds. We had some headwinds, especially from Olema to Point Reyes Station, but most of the wind was from behind. We got pushed at a nice 20mph or so going along the reservoir to Nicasio, which was super nice.
There really isn't much to report on the day, which is a good thing! Just lots of steady riding with other cyclists through nice countryside with plenty of sunshine. I did take snapshots. Here's a link to them:
