It Was an Ok Ride

It was an OK ride. If you like pine and redwood forests thick with mist, As you climb the mist gets patchy and then gives way to views across forested hills and canyons.

If you like looking down on a vast cotton fog blanket with the towers of the Golden Gate peeking out, and hey, there's the radio tower on Twin Peaks there, and the Pyramid coming up over there. And as the fog lifts more, god is it beautiful and what is that inlet there, is that Richardson Bay?

If you like looking one way at a Pacific panorama over Bolinas Bay and north toward Pt. Reyes, and then look the other direction over the hills and valleys fading into endless horizon to the east....

If you like descending through thick forest to a beautiful, surprising little lake, clear enough to remind you of Tahoe...

That, plus perfect temperature, no wind, plenty of sunshine. If you like being in a nearly constant state of awe from the scenes that surround you... it was an OK ride for me.
