Starting from Red's Java Hut in the city, head across the Golden Gate, through the Marin towns of Sausalito, San Anselmo, Ross & Fairfax. Then the real action starts with a climb up Fairfax-Bolinas Road to Alpine Dam. The get ready for the main course—the ascent of Mt. Tam. After 10 miles of descending, it's back to San Francisco through Sausalito, over the GG and return along the Embarcadero.
